Hi Pete, In order to appeal to the independent adjudicator, firstly you have to write a letter to Dart Charge in Leeds, using the postal system (in this day and age!) They are practically inviting fraudsters to target people who may not be the most technically savvy to get scammed., Dont pay at any website other than https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge. Secondly I didnt arrive at my destination until past midnight the following day and thirdly I didnt receive my PCN until two months after returning to the uk. Plus 2.50 crossing charge. I didnt spot the paragraph saying I had to pay for crossings Id already made, and assumed setting up the account within 24 hours would work.
